A gorgeous Nayarit polychrome male, 6" tall. This Ixtlan del Rio variant, ca. 200 BC - 350 AD stands on bifurcated feet and is lavishly painted overall. An excellent example. Intact.

An adorable Colima avian vessel from West Mexico, ca. 250 BC – 300 AD. This wonderful Comala style effigy vessel is 6-1/2” high, 7” wide and depicts a pair of conjoined ducks. They are nicely detailed, with wings on the sides and two-tone red slip. An excellent example of the type, highly burnished, with nice mineral deposits evident.

A fine Moche Sacred Mountain scene from Peru, ca. 400 - 700 AD. It is 4-1/2" high and depicts Ai Apaec emerging from the mountains. He is nicely detailed and is adorned with serpents coiled around the mountain peaks. Good paint and mineral deposits.

A superb Maya cylinder from the Sula Valley of Honduras, ca. 600 – 900 AD. This highly burnished blackware example is 6-1/4” high, 5-1/4” in diameter and is carved with volute design patterns similar to the “false glyph” designs on the famous alabaster vessels from that region. A beautiful vessel in great condition, with stucco remnants in the grooves and just a barely visible hairline crack.

A fine Moche IV stirrup vessel from Peru, ca. 450 - 550 AD. It is 9-1/2" high and is decorated with a bean motif covering a little more than half the chamber. The Moche used such ideographic designs to communicate messages. The stirrup is decorated with a serpent, as well as a Cereus cactus. Vivid paint, good mineral deposits.
