An excellent Nazca olla from Peru, ca. 200 – 400 AD. This fine globular vessel is 5-1/2” in diameter and depicts worms attacking six peppers portrayed with anthropomorphized faces. They are painted in black, orange, red and yellow over white slip. Intact, with vivid paint and good mineral deposits.

This fine Papagayo Polychrome vessel is 5-3/4” in diameter and features a mythical avian creature in the tondo. Red and black linear décor covers the walls inside and out. A lovely Nicoya figure from Costa Rica, ca. 300 BC – 300 AD. This rare Chaco Black on Red example is 5-3/4” high and depicts a female, seated with legs crossed and hands holding the belly. She is adorned with a segmented appliqué necklace and the characteristic body décor encircling the breasts, on the shoulders and face. The spine is protruding along the back.
