A sweet LaTolita figure from the Santiago River area of Ecuador, ca. 500 BC - 500 AD. Its is 1-5/8" high and depicts a seated individual with one hand held to the head and the other resting on the knee. Intact, with the surface erosion typical of river/beach finds, good mineral deposits.

This superbly sculpted example is 3” wide and depicts an individual adorned with an ornament studded headband, large nose ring and multiple ear ornaments.
