MA2176 – A rare Maya fish bowl from the Tiquisate area of Guatemala, ca. 250 – 600 AD. This fine pedestal bowl is 8-1/4” in diameter, with the appliquéd head, tail and fins projecting outward from the rim. The head and tail are beautifully detailed and the vessel has strong mineral encrustation.

A fine Maya stamp seal from Guatemala, ca. 300 – 600 AD. It is 2-1/8 inches in diameter and depicts a monkey deity. Monkeys were revered and credited with teaching the Maya how to write glyphs. Good mineral deposits.
