A large Nariño vessel from Colombia, ca. 850 – 1500 AD. This rare example from the Capuli cultural complex is 7” in diameter and is elaborately decorated with the characteristic black-on-red resist painted designs. It has an unusual square base and intact suspension loops. Intact, with strong mineral deposits.
