A gorgeous Nazca bowl from Peru, ca. 200 – 300 AD. This large bowl is 7” in diameter, 3-3/4” deep and is decorated with a series of tied bags thought to represent leather bags containing shamanic paraphernalia. All are painted in a variety of earth tones over red slip. In perfect condition, with vivid paint and good mineral deposits.

Cf. Proulx “Sourcebook of Nasca Iconography”, page 175.
