A fine Chupicuaro polychrome tripod dish from Mexico, ca. 400 – 100 BC. It is 3-1/2” in diameter and stands on a trio of mammiform legs that are decorated with intricate design patterns. The hollow legs contain rattles and the scalloped rim is set off with linear décor. Nicely burnished, good mineral deposits.
