A fine Chimu portrait vessel from Peru, ca. 1100 – 1450 AD. It is 7-3/4” high and depicts the Maize God. He is portrayed with two large ears of maize on the back of the head and is adorned with unusual ear ornaments. Intact, with heavy mineral encrustation and trails.
