An exceptional Milagro-Quevedo head from the north coast of Ecuador, ca. 700 – 1500 AD. This superbly sculpted example is 3” wide and depicts an individual adorned with an ornament studded headband, large nose ring and multiple ear ornaments. In excellent condition, with strong mineral deposits. Mounted on stone base.
