A large Tiahuanaco kero from Bolivia, ca. 200 - 800 AD. This boldly painted Yamparaez style example from the Sucre area is 7-3/4” high, 6” in diameter and is decorated with abstract geometric designs. These vessels were most likely used to consume chicha during festivals and ceremonial rites. Intact, with strong mineral deposits.
